More Cultural Conflict with Muslims

I guess none of us have the time to watch "The View" (a weekday morning talk show) but I read about something interesting and surprising that happened on the show today.  Bill O'Reilly, who you might know is a talk show host on Fox News, visited "The View."
During a discussion about Park51, a Muslim community center and mosque that is to be built two blocks from ground zero in Manhattan, Mr. O’Reilly said the project was “inappropriate” because “a lot of the 9/11 families, who I know, say, ‘Look, we don’t want that, that shouldn’t be there.’”
Mr. O’Reilly cited an opinion poll in which he said 70 percent of respondents did not want the project to go forward, and Ms. Goldberg and Ms. Behar continued to press him on why he felt it should not be built. Mr. O’Reilly replied, “Because Muslims killed us on 9/11.”
At that point, hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar walked off the set because they were so angry and offended.  Here's the story and the video.

There's another post coming later tonight...

  1. thats pretty sad and racist.some famous american people were muslims before and after the attack. americans should stop mistaking muslims for islamic extremists because their is a pretty huge difference between them. but i thought since before america didnt have a problem with muslims and now since 9/11 they are turning against muslims which is breaking americas constitution this will MAYBE result in banning muslims from this country and basicly ruining america for not following their rules. i think that was the terriosts main objective because dont you see the middle school kid beat up for being muslim. thats just as worse as segragation in the south. But then again i think they just want to kill because their racist.

  2. i think that is pretty racist. before 9/11 happened everybody was fine with muslims. now look what happened. everyone has a problem with muslims. they dont want it being built because everyone thinks that every since 9/11 everything was the MUSLIMS fault. they can at least have a church if they want. but people have very different opinions and thoughts on it.i think that they should just sit down with a bunch of people get what people think, get muslims to go and everyone can see what they think about it. from muslims them self. and then they can settle it from there.

  3. I think this very racist and an ignarant conversation. Mr.O'Reilly shouldve paid more attention whent they said Musloms didnt kill us. It was MUSLIMS EXTREMEISTS that killed us but he stil wont listen. And how he said 70 percent of americans dont wnat the mosque they're ignorant too. Everybody should nget their facts straight before saying anything or your going to look stupid like Mr.O'Reilly.
