We will always remember.

Today marks a national tragedy. September 11, 2001, was the sort of day that every American will remember. Do you remember where you were? Were you old enough to remember the details? For some of you, 9/11 may be your first vivid memory. Were you going to kindergarten or pre-K? How did you feel? What have been the effects of 9/11 on your life or on America? Feel free to write a thoughtful comment of a paragraph or more about 9/11 and your own experience or analysis.

Here is a link to the news coverage on NBC on the morning of September 11, 2001. It is difficult to watch, but you may find it interesting.

  2. Although I was in Hawaii when 9/11/01 happened, my mother was there. She was stuck in the hospital for four days because of all the injured people. I called her everyday when I was little and talked to her. My aunt was also living with my mother, because they were sisters. I remember how worried my grandmother was, she would always pray and cry for their safety. That is one thing I hate to see, crying people. Especially my grandmother, so I will never forget that one week that followed 9/11. I hope something like this never happens? You know the story that they have about the Mosque being built two blocks away from Ground Zero? I think that's quite ridiculous. But not blaming the Muslims or anything, it's just a place that us New Yorkers have as a memorial spot. It would ruin everything to have a place like that built near it. I hope that it won't happen.
